Does my child need to know any Spanish to
enroll? Absolutely not. The majority of the children in our programs are from non-Spanish speaking families. A prior
knowledge of Spanish is NOT necessary for a family to enroll their child. The program is primarily geared to children learning
Spanish as a second language,
What you mean by “Spanish Immersion”?
Children are surrounded by the Spanish language
in a nurturing classroom environment. By making the process fun and engaging, teachers motivate students to use the Spanish
words and phrases they are learning. Children learn Spanish in a natural process similar to the way we learned our native
language, by hearing the language spoken in context with what they are seeing and experiencing. During the initial listening
stage, they “take in” the language. Soon they begin to ”imitate” the language by repeating words and
phrases. Once children feel comfortable and confident with the language, they begin to “initiate” words and phrases
spontaneously.
What do you mean that you are a "Christian-based
school"?
The school is not affiliated with any particular Christian denomination. The children pray at the beginning
of each class and before meals, learn some Christian songs like, "Yes, Jesus Loves Me," in Spanish, and celebrate
Christian holidays like Christmas and Easter. We treat each child and their family with respect regardless of their faith.
Our desire is for children to know that Jesus Christ loves them unconditionally. We believe the environment this creates only
enhances the learning process.
